Eye Care: Tears and Dry Eye

When not enough flow, perhaps due to dry air, aging, or other health conditions, the eyes can become painful and irritated. For people with mild cases of dry eye, occasionally using eye drops labeled artificial tears may do the trick. Others with more pronounced and frequent dry eye symptoms may need other medications or a procedure to block the exit ducts.
